The Exciters

Picture

Theater: Times Square
Opening Date: September 22, 1922
Performances: 43

Playwright: Martin Brown
Director: Edgar Selwyn
Producer: Arch and Edgar Selwyn

Partial Cast: Enid Markey, Chester Morris, Thais Lawton, Marsh Allen, Frederick Karr, Robery Hyman

Tallulah's Role: Rufus Rand

This was Tallulah's last New York play before moving to England in 1923. She again received good reviews as a flapper caught in family turmoil but the play itself was not well received.

Tallulah's Comments: "...a comedy which belied its title. I'll capsule the plot. Rufus was nineteen, semi-paralyzed because of a motor accident. In a fit of caprice she married a burglar. Want to hear more? I didn't think so."
